When considering a breast augmentation in Omaha, patients must consider many different options to meet their goals. At Aesthetic Surgical Images, your surgeon will review the procedure, discuss the various choices available and help you make the proper decisions. The variables covered will include implant type, implant size and incision placement.
Implant Type: Both saline and silicone gel implants are now available for breast augmentation. Your surgeon will discuss the characteristics of each. You’ll be allowed to hold and feel each choice before making your final selection.
Implant Size: The actual volume of the implant will depend on your desired cup size, your present breast volume and the appearance of any mild sagging. Your surgeon will spend as much time as necessary in reviewing the details in your decision process.
Incision for Implant: There are four incision sites possible for breast augmentation: around the areolar (periareolar), under the breast (inframammary), through the armpit (transaxillary), and through the belly button (periumbilical). The surgeons of ASI don’t recommend the periumbilical approach. Most patients usually choose either the periareolar or inframmary approach. Occasionally, the transaxillary incision is recommended.
By visiting one of the board-certified plastic surgeons of Aesthetic Surgical Images, you’ll discuss all the options before deciding which choices are best for you. Contact Us to schedule your complimentary cosmetic consultation!
